Three Somalis shot dead in South Africa by another Somali
Three Somali nationals were killed while four others including a South African national were injured in a shooting in Mitchells Plain township which is about 32 km from the city of Cape Town in South Africa.
It is believed a man, who is also a Somali, was behind the shooting, firing shots at the men near a restaurant they ran in the area on Wednesday night.
Police in the area arrested the shooter who was identified as Abdiweli.
Chairman of Somali community in the country, Muse Mude Afrah said the suspect was targeting the South African national over an alleged withdrawal of a shop purchase agreement.
Muse said there have been similar incidents in the recent past where Somali nationals targeted fellow men in the country.
He stated that the community in collaboration with the police would work in preventing such acts to happen again.
